Form Analysis: Redcliffe May 22

RACE 1 

MY SWEET ELISE (2) showed good ability in a recent trial when scoring by a big margin there. She is well bred with her Dam having produced a number of successful horses as well as a recent 2YO winner King Bling who was able to score on debut.

LITTLE SURFER GIRL (6) is a horse that has always shown promise and just hasn’t quite been able to put it all together. She was good last start when running into second and appears to have started putting everything together.

TARANTULA TOM (7) was well beaten on debut albeit in what looks likely to be a strong form race won by Timmyteo who has since once again. He has options in this race being the only horse on the back row.

EATING IN CHICAGO (4) put together two seconds three and four starts ago which suggested he might’ve been closing in on a maiden victory before he had excuses two back and bumped into a strong race last start.

RACE 2 

SHEZA LENNY (6) did all the work last start and battled on strongly there for second behind Tarifa Girl. Hasn’t raced for nearly a month which is somewhat of a query. If she is ready to go she looks hardest to beat.

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (5) couldn’t get into the race last start at Marburg after getting a long way back early. He was a solid winner four starts ago at Redcliffe and can be thereabouts again.

JUKEBOX JET (8) has been racing consistently in recent starts without having been in the money. Can be driven a number of ways in this company and should be in the finish.

PERFECT FEELING (9) was a solid winner of a Trot Rods heat three starts ago. She is racing well and is versatile in this grade.

RACE 3

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (1) showed good gate speed two starts ago and set a solid tempo early before handing over there. He has options from the good draw in this race and looks ready to win again.

CHEDDAR MADE BETA (8) was a last start winner finishing over the top late to score. This race doesn’t look a lot tougher and he should be right in the finish again.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (7) looks likely to secure a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse. He battled on reasonably for fourth last start.

NUCLEAR BLING (4) would need to improve on recent form to be a factor in this race.

RACE 4 

BONNIES CAM (2) is a very good stand start horse and generally steps away cleanly and quickly. He led in a stand start at Marburg two starts ago and scored a good win in mile rate that was just 0.5 seconds off the track record held by Mydadsaid. 

MISTY CREEK (1) was a recent winner at Redcliffe when he was able to secure a good run on the pegs. Could secure a good run again in this race starting off the front tapes.

LUVBITE (6) was a recent FFA winner at Albion Park when running past Tims A Trooper to score. He took on a stand start at Albion Park last start and gave ground there but the track had been recently resurfaced so that could be a potential excuse for the performance.

TARGARYEN (8) is one of the class runners and was hitting the line strongly late last start behind Turn It Up and Dele Row. He usually steps away reasonably from the start and can be running on late.

RACE 5

MULLUM ARETHA (1) showed good gate speed to lead in a recent trial and battled on well enough behind Rocket City. Has options from the draw and looks hard to beat.

FIRENSTORM (2) has struggled since breaking his maiden status in September with two unplaced efforts beaten 76 and 42 metres. His trial showed some improvement and he could be further improved from that run.

OUR ULTIMATE JESSY (7) was a good winner two starts ago when able to lead from a good draw. Looks likely to get every chance in this race from behind the leader and should be hard to beat.

PLANET DOWNS (6) had no luck last start when working hard earl before being left without cover. May have similar issues in this race with a wide draw again.

RACE 6 

XPRESS PARTY (1) showed good gate speed to lead last start and was just run down late by Fire Raiser in what might’ve been a slightly stronger race. He makes the trip to Redcliffe and looks the likely leader.

HES SWEET (2) might be able to get into the position behind the leader which would likely see him hard to beat. He secured the run leaders back last start and just couldn’t get into the race when the leader tired.

KING VANCE (6) was shuffled a long way back last start in a slowly run race. He hit the line nicely late once clear and looks to have found a race with a little bit less depth.

BLACKJACK BART (7) doesn’t have much gate speed which will likely mean he is shuffled back on the pegs early. If he isn’t shuffled too far back he can still secure a good run and be right in the finish late.

RACE 7

IMA BEACH BABE (10) took on a stronger race last start taken out by My Ultimate Victor in a 1.55 mile rate. She looks the class runner but does face the outside of the back row draw which is likely to make her task a lot tougher.

TIGER TOMMY (2) has been racing in good form having won two starts ago before running an unlucky second last start. Looks to have drawn ideally in this race in gate 2.

DREAM MELODY (8) was a recent winner at the track and trip when leading. She has been in good form and looks a hope with the right run into the race.

ROCK HAMMER (9) was a winner two starts ago before running second las start in what became a dash home. He should be better for those two first up efforts and will  be hard to beat.

RACE 8

KEAYANG OMAR (1) brings solid victorian form into this race and draws to get every chance from gate one. He should have the gate speed to lead them up and is coming into this race third up from a spell so should be nearing peak fitness.

OUR ULTIMATE LUKA (8) scored a good Trot Rods heat win two starts ago when doing all the work there. Drew awkwardly last start in a very strong race taken out by Megs Boy and was good when running fourth.

MISSED CONSEQUENCES (7) can mix her form but her better efforts this time in have been good enough to figure in a race of this nature. Burned hard for the lead two runs ago and wasn’t beaten far running fifth. Should get an economical run and can be finishing off late.

ARNOLD STREET (6) draws poorly and probably isn’t ideally suited to racing over the 2040. He took on a recent stand start trial and was able to run third there in what was a solid enough effort.

RACE 9

FAVREAU (7) has been racing in great form having placed in his last four starts. He looks to have drawn awkwardly in this race but does follow out a good beginner and could end up as close as leaders back.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (2) did all the work last start and was beaten just a metre there into fourth. She was a strong winner four starts ago and looks a top hope again.

MADAM WEST (8) is likely to find this easier than some of her recent outings including last start where she ran third to Go Colour My World. She can follow through on the back of a horse likely to want to race up on speed which should give her a good run into the race.

THE HARRIS HAWK (5) is rarely far away in his races. He was a winner two starts ago when finishing best to score.
