RACE 1

LANEYS LAST (2) got into an awkward position last start when attempting to weave away from the pegs. She made a break when appearing to look a big hope and was taken completely out of contention as a result. She should get a much better run this time and looks hard to beat.

IMA BALLERINA (9) has had plenty of chances to break her maiden and just hasn’t quite been able to finish her races off running a number of seconds. She was running on well late last start behind The Post Girl who had settled in front of her in the run.

GLENEAGLE HUNTER (5) ran second last start behind Black Gemstone in what was an improved effort. Can figure in the minor money again with the right run.

SNEAKY DELIGHT (1) is having her first start for the astute stable of Ben Crosby. Looked to trial moderately at Albion Park recently when well beaten.

SELECTIONS: LANEYS LAST (2), IMA BALLERINA (9), GLENEAGLE HUNTER (5), SNEAKY DELIGHT (1)

SUGGESTED BET: LANEYS LAST (2) to win.

RACE 2

FLY BURRA (1) showed good gate speed two starts ago before handing over to Llanfair Llewellan and running a good second there. This race looks significantly easier and if he can lead he is likely to prove very hard to catch.

WEE BONNIE (6) found the leaders back last start and looked to over race badly there over the 2040 at Redcliffe when finishing off just fairly late into third. Looks likely to secure a good run through at the start in this race behind the likely lead and should be right in the finish with even luck.

LUSTRE (8) was a winner first up from a spell two starts ago at Redcliffe when getting clear and sprinting hard late to score. This looks a suitable race where she has options early.

WHYKIKAMOOCOW (3) hit the line well last start when getting into the clear behind Emmaleen. Looks likely to be close enough in the run here and can figure if able to secure a good enough trip.

SELECTIONS: FLY BURRA (1), WEE BONNIE (6), LUSTRE (8), WHYKIKAMOOCOW (3)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 3

DOC HARVEY (2) led last start from a wide gate and was taken on strongly early before battling on for a distant second behind Heavens Baby. If he is able to lead and control things in this race he should be hard to catch.

NIGHT NINJA (3) has plenty of high speed and shouldn’t be far away in the run. His recent efforts haven’t quite been up to his absolute best but he has got a good record at this track and can bounce back.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (4) has been in good form scoring three runs ago after leading at this track before securing a good run last start and running second there. She looks likely to do the work in this race and in this company can still be there at the finish.

MAJOR TRALEE (8) drops back in class to take on this race. He hasn’t quite been at his absolute best recently but may be suited by a soft run in the early stages of this race.

SELECTIONS: DOC HARVEY (2), NIGHT NINJA (3), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (4), MAJOR TRALEE (8)

SUGGESTED BET: DOC HARVEY (2) to win.

RACE 4

SKIPPERS SWAN SONG (7) secured a good run at Albion Park last start and was able to run a solid fourth. Looks very well placed in this company and if she was put into the race she could likely dominate in this company doing the work.

HES REGAL (8) hasn’t quite been at his best but should be suited in this company. He may be put into the race through the middle stages.

TULHURST SMOOCHER (4) was suited last start when coming from off the speed at a short price. She is likely to be taken back early again and can be running on late off a solid tempo.

MOLLIDOR (1) draws the ideal gate at Marburg and ran a good race up on speed five starts ago. Needs to lift on recent outings.

SELECTIONS: SKIPPERS SWAN SONG (7), HES REGAL (8), TULHURST SMOOCHER (4), MOLLIDOR (1)

SUGGESTED BET: SKIPPERS SWAN SONG (7) to win.

RACE 5

MISS BAY KING COLE (1) scored an impressive win at Albion Park last start when able to hold off Udderly Sweet late who had run fast time to beat French Fries in the final of the QBRED Breeders Classic series his start prior. She should be able to lead and can be hard to beat again.

RESILIENT (6) has been racing in strong form despite drawing poorly. He finally gets a draw where he can be driven for his high speed and if the runs come for him at the right time he will be hard to hold out late.

CYCLONE TONY (7) has plenty of ability but does seem to mix his form at times and doesn’t look ideally suited off a back row draw. He was a good winner over Mullum Doc three starts ago at Redcliffe when able to control the race up on speed. Given his tendency to over race he may not be sent to the breeze over the 2200.

MONSIEUR DELACOUR (4) generally gets back and runs on in his races and can be driven that way again in this race. He will be hoping there is a solid early tempo which would suit him running on.

SELECTIONS: MISS BAY KING COLE (1), RESILIENT (6), CYCLONE TONY (7), MONSIEUR DELACOUR (4)

SUGGESTED BET: MISS BAY KING COLE (1) to win.

RACE 6

SCRUBBY (3) was an impressive winner in his latest start at Marburg. He has since been away from the races for over a month which is a genuine query. If he is fit enough and ready to go he should be hard to beat in this race.

VICTREE ATOM (1) has been impressive this time in having broken through for his maiden victory three starts ago he was then able to run well again into second behind the smart Bronx. Should secure a good run from this gate.

OCTOBER RACKETEER (4) broke through for a well deserved win last start at this track beating Captain Oh Captain who has since won again. He is versatile and can be driven a number of ways in this company.

LA SABINA (8) hasn’t had much luck in recent outings having drawn poorly in her latest races. She draws poorly again in this race and will be relying on a solid tempo to allow her to be running on late.

SELECTIONS: SCRUBBY (3), VICTREE ATOM (1), OCTOBER RACKETEER (4), LA SABINA (8)

SUGGESTED BET: LA SABINA (8) each way.

RACE 7

GETAGRIP (2) took on some of the best 3YOs in the country last start and was a competitive fourth there after obtaining a good run. He is likely to find this much easier dropping back into this company and if he was able to find the front he would be extremely hard to catch.

PRINCE JOY (1) worked to the lead last start but didn’t have the speed to hold out Basilisk Bob mid race who went on to score after finding the top mid race. He looks set to secure a really good run from the favourable draw in this race and can be in the finish again.

STUDLEIGH MARK (3) took on a weaker race at Redcliffe last start and couldn’t quite run down Pennie Packer over the 2040. He will appreciate the step back in trip.

IGNITE THE FIRE (5) was suited by a strong early tempo two runs ago when finishing over the top late at Marburg. From the wide gate she looks set to work or get a long way back in this race.

SELECTIONS: GETAGRIP (2), PRINCE JOY (1), STUDLEIGH MARK (3), IGNITE THE FIRE (5)

SUGGESTED BET: GETAGRIP (2) to win.

RACE 8

PUMPKIN PAT (2) hit the line nicely last start at Redcliffe after securing a good run behind them on the pegs. She has good gate speed giving her options in the early stages over the 2200 journey whether she hands over or attempts to lead all the way.

TAKE A CHANCE (4) is having his first start for Matt Elkins having recently changed stables. He was a good second in a strong race behind Hot Rod Harry last start. He should be able to get forward from the draw and can look to control the race up on speed.

MAJOR MEMPHIS (5) is having his first start for Alex Johnson having done his most recent racing in NSW. He was previously trained in QLD last year and ran some good races scoring in 1.53.4 in one of his last starts before moving down to NSW.

BURNS BAY (6) has been racing in good form recently. His two latest seconds would easily see him very competitive in this race but he will need plenty of luck from the inside back row draw.

SELECTIONS: PUMPKIN PAT (2), TAKE A CHANCE (4), MAJOR MEMPHIS (5), BURNS BAY (6)

SUGGESTED BET: PUMPKIN PAT (2) to win.

RACE 9

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (1) has good gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead. He was a much better effort last start when closing strongly from a long way back in the field. This looks a great opportunity to bring up his first win for David Rodger.

SPLASHNDASH (6) was an impressive Marburg winner two starts ago when leading and winning easily. He led again last start over the 2040 at Redcliffe and just seemed to over race there and tired late. This looks a better set up for him back in trip and with something to follow.

VINCENT TIME (9) has been racing without a great deal of luck in recent starts. He started inside the back row two starts ago when third behind the smart County Court Judge. He is going well enough to figure in a race of this nature but the draw makes it tough.

TAYLORS FOUR (8) sat without cover outside Holme Boy last start and battled on strongly there into second in what was a solid mile rate for the grade. She looks set to get a long way back and need to do work at some stage from the draw.

SELECTIONS: BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (1), SPLASHNDASH (6), VINCENT TIME (9), TAYLORS FOUR (8)

SUGGESTED BET: BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (1) to win.
