Last year, Stefi Magnetica and Broadsiding announced themselves as future superstars, while the mighty mare Bella Nipotina dominated the winter on her way to claiming The Everest. 

The $1 million Group 1 Doomben Cup will again pave the way for Australasia’s middle-distance horses to claim victory at the top level.

In recent years, Zaaki announced himself as one of the nation’s best in this race, going on to claim another three Group 1s on the back of his 2021 demolition job. 

Last year, the luck of the Irish shone brightly for Bois D’argent, with the grey gelding hanging on for a thrilling victory for Annabel Neasham.

It’s also a big day for the fillies and mares, with three major lead ups for the girls thanks to The Roses, the Carter Stakes and the Magic Millions Mares Mile.
